Excerpt from Preface

Too often, we shy away from the emotions that had been triggered within us. Or, when we do take responsibility to face what is inside of us, we only bother to do so when we can no longer tolerate the intensity of pain, hurt and anguish. And, also too often, we tend to overlook emotions which we could then 'handle', by either seeming pardoning that someone or situation out there, or giving ourselves excuses that the emotion is not significant for us to address, and thus pushing it aside as trivial by camouflaging how we truly feel, or sweeping it under the carpet so to avoid looking at what is within us. But, as long as your buttons have been pushed, there remains a shadow, in the form of an emotion, for which you could face and enter beyond, to discover YOU. Yes, you can - as the choice of willingness is no one else's, but yours. It is through our courage and responsibility to reflect inwards, or to face what is within us, so to speak; that may we then discover the greatness and majesty in us. These, are the gifts that lay behind the veils for each one of us.

The articles in this book are all real and true experiences from the loving contributions of those who selflessly and willingly share their stories with us. Although shared from different perspectives, they each possess their own essence of which reminds us that our shadows are not there to scare us away, or to torture us... but to invite us to face them, no matter how seemingly 'ugly' or daunting they may be... almost promising us unexpected gifts which could only be received by us, through the gentleness of extending ourselves to ourselves from within, to within.
